As a future visionary leader, I believe in inspiring and motivating children to have a better start to their educational career. To not only teach and master the standards but to deliver them in engaging reasearch based strategies that will prepare them for today, tomorrow and the the future. This is the reason I decided to go into teaching. In my second grade classroom, I am the leader and have a direct impact on the lives of 25+ students per school year. I don't take this lightly either, I see teaching as more than a profession, it's my calling and purpose. As a male teacher, I feel I can connect with students coming from a fatherless home. As a bilingual teacher, I feel I can connect with Spanish speaking students that come from a similar background as my own. With this knowledge and skills, I want my students to be engaged and have the best start to their academic lives. The purpose of their education is to create opportunities, lanes and possibilities for a brighter future no matter their culture or social academic background. I believe all students are equipped with unique skills and talents and it's my job to unleash that potential and an awareness that they can succeed in anything they set their mind to. Not only succeed for themselves but to be of service to others as well. I believe it's also important to be authentic as a visionary leader, to be myself at all times and to treat my students with the respect they deserve so they can treat their friends, family and community with respect as well.
Instructional Leadership
As a future instructional leader, I commit to ensuring that our students have the best and the highest quality of instruction on a day to day basis. This responsibility of high quality instruction goes beyond the curriculum, it's about recruiting, hiring, developing and evaluating great passionate teachers.
Community Leadership
Community leadership comes through understanding the community that surrounds our school. Understanding the community we serve will allow us to understand our student body and their needs. Community leadership is also about being proactive, how can we get involved in the community to not only help our students but the families as well.
